Two-dimensional representation techniques for developing and presenting design concepts. Freehand drawing, reproduction techniques, two- and three-dimensional projection, shade, shadow, and perspective are introduced. Various media utilized.

512 Architectural Communications 2
Three-dimensional drawings as tools for design development and presentation. Development of model-making skills.
Prerequisite: ARC 511, 3.5-year track
611 Computer Modeling (4 cr)
Introduces students to basic computer skills and fundamental theoretical concepts in computing and design. Subjects include electronic publishing, image manipulation, introductory CAD, and computer modeling.
Prerequisite: 3.5-year track
612 Advanced CAD: Modeling Objects and Environments
Introduces advanced concepts and current research trends in computer-aided design, rendering, animation, and advanced virtual-reality Web publishing. Addresses ways in which advanced computer techniques can be used in support of architectural design and presentation.
Prerequisite: ARC 611
