Aarhus, Denmark

The School of Architecture and Planning, University at Buffalo and the School of Architecture, Arhus, Denmark, have a formal agreement outlining an exchange program for students and faculty. Students may attend classes and studio for one semester, or one year abroad, in Aarhus, while continuing to pay tuition at UB. Aarhus will provide housing at no cost to visiting UB Students. Individual courses of study are developed by faculty advisors at both institutions. Students participate in one of the ongoing studios in Aarhus. They participate in the daily activites of that studio environment and work with faculty and students there.

This is an official exchange program between the School of Architecture and Planning and the Arkitektskolen i Aarhus, Denmark. Selected students spend one semester studying at the school -- those from Denmark coming to Buffalo and our students going to Denmark. Up to four full-time exchange positions are open each year (8 semester slots). Fluency in Danish is not required.

Eligibility: Graduate and senior architecture students

Cost: Tuition is paid to the host school (UB students pay normal tuition); housing is provided for our students in Denmark; students pay airfare, food, travel, etc. In general, the expense is very similar to a semester in Buffalo.

Application: Through the Architecture Program. See Lynda Schneekloth.
