Associate Professor Frank Fantauzzi completed his post-professional studies at Cranbrook Academy of Art and his professional studies at Carleton University, Canada. Fantauzzi’s work focuses on site specific urban interventions that aim to disclose the parallels between social and tectonic structures. Fantauzzi’s work has been exhibited and installed in venues internationally including the Capp Street Gallery, San Francisco; the Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati; the Storefront for Art and Architecture, New York; the Cranbrook Academy for the Arts, Detroit; and the Big Orbit Gallery, Buffalo. Fantauzzi held the Cass Gilbert Visiting Professorship at the University of Minnesota and has conducted studios at Ohio State University and at the University of Technology in Helsinki, Finland. His publications include 12 exhibition catalogs, critical reviews in Artforum, Harvard Architectural Review, and Arkkiteti Magazine, extensive coverage in Architecture Studio, and Pamphlet Architecture 25: Gravity with collaborators James Cathcart and Terence Van Elslander.
