Upon arriving at the University at Buffalo South CampusThe Main Street Entrance to the University at Buffalo South Campus is a busy place, and home to a major N.F.T.A. Light Rail Commuter Station. On Main Street (which is sometimes referred to as Route 5 on maps), look for large signs that mark the Main Street Entrance (directly across from Wendy's).
Bearing right or left, depending on what direction you're comming from, then follow the access road to the first stop sign, turn right. Hayes Hall (remember to look for the clock tower!) will be on your left. Parking can be found just past Hayes Hall in the Townsend Lot on the right. Parking in this lot is free.
Please be advised that between 7am and 3pm you will need a visitor tag to park in Townsend Lot. Just phone us or send an e-mail and we will send a visitor parking tag for the date you plan to visit. Additional paid parking (for which a permit is not needed) is available near the Bailey Avenue Entrance to the University.
Parking in the Townsend Lot is accessible and on relatively even grade. Parking in the visitor lot is some distance from Hayes Hall, though the path is accessible. The barrier-free entrance to Hayes hall is in the rear of the building at the base of the clock tower, simply follow the pedestrian signs or look for the ramp. Pedestrian maps are located at various points throughout the campus, should you need one.
If you find these directions unclear or confusing, please call or e-mail us for assistance.
