2003 Horizon Home Show
Amherst, New York

This 3300 sq. ft. model home, designed for the 2003 Horizon Home Show in Amherst, NY through a partnership of Richard Bergman of Heartland Homes and Danise Levine, contains three bedrooms, a great room, a dining room, a kitchen with breakfast nook, a library, and a large rear porch.

The design of this home incorporated universal design with a no-step entry, fully accessible bathrooms, varied counter heights in the kitchen, and adequate clearance space at all doorways and hallways. A platform lift was installed in the garage to allow multiple entrances/exits. The entire home is equipped with accessible appliances and storage devices, raised outlets and lowered wall switches, 36" doors, and a central vacuum system.
