Assistant Professor at the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology at the University of Pittsburgh
Linda van Roosmalen, PhD is a visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology at the University of Pittsburgh. She is actively involved in technology transfer and has functioned as PI and collaborator on several SBIR and STTR projects aimed at bringing innovative technologies to the marketplace. She is an active member of the ISO and RESNA committees on Wheelchairs and Transportation. Dr. van Roosmalen has published widely in national and international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and has been invited to speak at national conferences and workshops in the areas of wheelchair transportation safety. She is a member of QoLT and has been involved in three RERCs (task leader for two). She is a key investigator at the RERC on Wheelchair Transportation Safety and will help foster collaboration between the two Centers.
